This is Mark's example of a slippery slope: If you try to debunk this then you are not intelligent and will never get a good job.

Mark's argument proposes that I must be stupid if I try to debunk his statement, but I could very well be mildly intelligent to even smart. It also says that if I am not intelligent I will not get a good job. It may be more likely to get a good job if I am intelligent however it is totally plausible that I may still get a good job even if I am not intelligent.

****

It's raining. There's mud on my shoes and I'm breathing hard. I take a handful of earth from the grave I made and mull it between my palms. I wonder if her grave will be my own. I can't get the blood off my hands, no matter how hard I try. I made too many mistakes. My clothes will be found in the area. I called her too recently. I shouldn't have gone. If it hadn't been that moment, this would all be a bad dream. I shake myself, hit the wall, scream. It's real and I know it too well. I've gone too far. I haven't gone far enough. The only way they won't find me is if I'm gone;gone forever. Heights put me on edge but I think how ironic that is as I stand on the edge of the world. I can't do it. Ashamed, I turn to step back down, but I slip. It's raining and the stone is slick with water and the mud from my shoes. As I fall I realize it wasn't that ironic.

a complex, sad life

A blank face hangs on the wall. It wonders if it will be given life or have it snatched away in a smear of color. Its bare expression cries out "claim me, I'm lonely!" No one answers its pleas. Every night it chokes on chemicals trying to destroy remnants of a past life. A seemingly natural object, a number of leaves, rests atop the pathetic pallet, but they are no more real than the paperback book which tarnishes its form. With each day it is born anew, but with each day it shall be murdered in less time than it took to create. A futile cycle of life, unbeknownst by any, is its sole existence.

less simple

At the front of the room there is a dry erase board. Atop the board rests a strand of leaves. The board is a rectangular pyramid, technically speaking, and thus has ninety degree angles and is three dimensional. It is blank and at its base lies the means to draw and erase markings on it.

simple>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>complex

The board is white. There are leaves on the top. It has four sides and it looks like a rectangle. There are four erasers and two markers. The board is white.

I've decided there must be a mathematical equation for the increase of a group of people proportional to the number of people in the group. Often it grows exponentially but more often is it multipliable. I will define a group as 5 or more.

Stupidity of a group=(the sum of the IQs of the four most intelligent people in the group) - ((the product of IQ of the dumbest person) X (# persons in the group-4))

Generally, I disagree that a person's IQ is a proper representation of a person's intelligence but for the sake of requiring numerical values, this is the best tool for me to use.

Alright that was lame enough.

You cannot possibly be as stupid as you act

Stupid: stu‧pid[stoo-pid, styoo‑]
1.lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull.
2.characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: You asked a stupid question.
3.tediously dull, esp. due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: Your speech is stupid.
4.annoying or irritating; troublesome: You're a stupid idiot.

You see, there is no way you can be as stupid as you act because to describe you as stupid would imply you are simply annoying, troublesome, or senseless. Your behavior is so disgustingly unintelligent that it drives me to insanity and the mere idea of their being a "mind" in the brain which rests inside your skull seems outrageous. The things you say marvel me in a most disturbing way as I have never heard someone speak with such incapableness and not even appear as though they contain any respectable smarts. If you were actually as stupid as you behave, I do not imagine that you could walk, talk, or breathe because your actions would suggest that there is not enough sense in your body to keep it alive. Your concept of common sense is comparable to a dog's concept of it being wrong to pee where he likes- it does not exist, and the replies which you have given to such simple questions are answers leading to the clear realization that you are indeed a phenomenal moron. To say you are stupid is to suggest the definition given above, however the manner in which you carry on is so infinitesimally greater in its intensity of the meaning of the word that it's not possible for you to actually be so. You are, in fact, very stupid, but it is not physically possible for you to be as stupid as you act, otherwise you would simply die, and alas you are alive, thus we come to the concluded conclusion, that has upwardly been stated in the statement above: you cannot possibly be as stupid as you act.
